This is a very good album from Kevin Saunderson one of techno's greats.there are a number of stand out tracks on this album wich have been used in many compelations and played at clubs around the world, Heavenly is a a very funky track that's gaurenteed to get you movin and velocity funk has got a very catchy old skool rave sample with ads to an already pounding track. Definately one to buy

4.0 out of 5 stars one of the detroit three, back again 15 May 2001
By Myron Mykyta - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
When you make out your list of techno innovators, Kevin Saunderson finds a place near the top. There wouldn't be Detroit techno without Saunderson, Mays, or Atkins. This CD is representative of updated Saunderson. If you listen to this and his 'Faces and Phases' retrospective, you'll notice several updated tracks. From that perspective, this album isn't essential on its own. But, these updates are generally of far greater quality, edge, and use to techno/house DJ's. If you don't know Saunderson, get the X-Mix 'Transmissions from Deep Space' -- maybe the best late 90's techno mix there is!

3.0 out of 5 stars But not five-star fun. 16 April 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
For those who can't get enough of that electronic Detroit sound, I can see how one might praise this album to no end. I can't compare it to anything but Carl Craig, and in this comparison, the album falls short. It's a good one to complete a collection, but this is not the one that will convert the heathens, so to speak. The melodies are fun, but in being so they can't escape simplicity. Repeated listening value is questionable, and since it cannot have made a very big splash on its release, look for it to dance silently into oblivion before too long.
