Product description

About the Author

Born in England in 1971, I was at school in the south and then the north of the country. The final stage of my formal education was a Geology degree at Edinburgh University.

I am now happily settled with a family in the Highlands of Scotland.

The wild places of the world have always inspired me. I believe that mankind has a genetic affinity with nature, built up over millions of years of depending on it. Many of us now lead lives that are disconnected from the land and would seem to have lost this affinity, but I believe is still there, deep within us all, and is able to awe, inspire and calm us. Most importantly, it can inspire our imagination, which is what makes us human, and what makes life worth living.

Keep your mind open.
