Lovely second-chance romance.

Finn broke Eva’s heart when he left town without a word. Five years later, he’s back. Eva tries to avoid him and deny her feelings for him, but he’s determined to win her back….for good.

Finn and Eva have an undeniable connection and their chemistry is tangible. Finn had his reasons for leaving. Eva has her reasons for keeping him out of her heart. They can’t move forward until both bare their feelings and their past hurts. But what happens when real life intrudes on their reunion? Will Eva be brave enough to risk everything to be with him? Will Finn be willing to live in a town he hates to be with Eva?

This was a sweet and sizzling romance, full of feeling and sexual desire, and great cameo characters. Classic Melody Grace!

A standalone second chance romance with more than a little bit of angst and a drop dead gorgeous rock star heading up the attitude…what was there not to have me diving head first into this story as soon as it hit my kindle, absolutely nothing that’s what, so I leapt in and never looked back, it was fabulous.
Finn was Eva’s past, one that she has lived without for longer than she would have ever considered possible, but when he left her all those years ago without a word of goodbye she was left nursing a broken heart that she still cradles desperately to this day.
Only now the thought of what they had is something she cannot escape, not when she is constantly reminded of the man that, that beautiful boy she once loved has grown to be.
Finn hit the bigtime and is living the dream but it is one that has a huge piece missing and now 5 years later he turns up to correct his mistake, but is he too late?
Eva has a world of hurt to sort through but Finn is determined to prove to her that despite his reasons, and he did have them, he knows what he did hurt her but he is back for her, nothing else, she is his missing piece but the anger she harbours could prove too much to overcome, I could only hope that she would hear him out.
The author drew some beautifully evocative scenario’s, she gave the character’s substance and made their world spring to life with a heady mix of angst and attitude.

I am a sucker for second chance romances and Heartbreaker was a fantastic second chance romance. This is a standalone novel that will pull you in and keep you reading. I hated this book coming to an end. The title Heartbreaker fits this book perfectly because your heart will break and Finn most definitely breaks some hearts along the way, but the only heart he cares about is Eva’s. Finn and Eva were secretive high school sweethearts that were madly in love, until one day Finn was gone. He left Eva without a word and she’s spent the last 5 years with a shattered heart trying to forget. Forgetting was impossible because Finn is now a famous rock star. Her entire world gets knocked out of orbit again when he shows up back in town determined to win Eva back. I immediately liked Finn and was rooting for him from the minute he was back. His character is so likable, not to mention HOT!! I felt the pain and desperation that both Finn and Eva were going thru. The entire time you read you will wonder if past pain and hurt can be forgiven and wonder if everything is as it seems. Will Eva open up her heart again? You have got to read this book to find out what happens. I loved all the characters in this book, including the hot veterinarian Sawyer, Eva’s sister, Lottie and Eva’s best friend Delilah. I hope they will get stories of their own. Heartbreaker was a 5 star read for me!

Loved this book, it had everything, believable story line, great sex, likeable characters, you really felt for the pair of them. Finn's upbringing was challenging no wonder he had issues. Eva loving Finn from the time she first met him was hurting badly, it took a while before she understood exactly what happened between them.

This book I thought was good at the beginning and I enjoyed reading the flashbacks about how Eva and the bad boy of the town Finn got together, I liked how Eva had a bit of backbone at the beginning when she met him again after 5 years of them not seeing each other.
I thought Finn was a bit of a coward and selfish but as his story came out about why he left for the fame and fortune had me understanding and I caught on the reason behind Eva's past after he left her, what I didn't really like was how Finn decided to stroll back into town after all them years and acted as if nothing had happened and how he thought Eva would jump into his arms, Eva I was sort of rooting for her to get with the new vet as it seemed that despite all that happened in New York she didn't move on and only decided to when Finn arrived.
I thought personally she didn't make him suffer enough and was too quick to fall for him again when she had been convincing herself that she was over him and was stronger and I found myself getting a little frustrated lol but I liked how we got both Eva and Finn's point of view, I liked reading about the other characters and I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were no ow or om in the background.
The ending I did think was a little rushed and I thought she ran to him a little too quickly and I was hoping that she might see the photo he took with the wannabe groupie on a site and jump to conclusions just to spice up the story a little lol and I would have liked to have seen an epilogue but I'm hoping that her sister will her own book as she needs a happy ending lol
