This was unexpectedly sweet. I actually have only read the first Ashe Sentinel book so these characters were completely new to me - but it worked well and I had no trouble following the story. And what a cute story, Gage shows up at ER after falling of a motorcycle and spots Ben, aka 'Nurse Hotness'. Ben initially rejects Gage's advances but after the two of them meet in a bar some time later, they spend a night together but Ben gets cold feet in the morning. Eventually they meet again and agree to date, though both have their issues - Ben cannot quite believe Gage will stick around and Gage gets too intense too quick - but it's nice for a while. The boys have some communication issues which result in a separation (drama- and angst-free breakup, which was lovely) but of course there is an eventual happy ending.

This was a lovely low-angst story. Even though the guys break up, there's no fighting or anger issues- actually very nice. And the resolution to their issues was well done too - all round lovely read.

I so enjoyed this book.
I think I fell half in love with Ben in book 5 when his good thing with Tripp came to an end. I fully fell in love with him in this book. He hadn't had the best experiences with love and was very hesitant with Gage.
All the reasons why he thought Gage was wrong for him were actually just for Gages job and not things that Gage did anyway.
I loved these two people together there was a lot of emotion, humour and love throughout the book. This was a well written story that can be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading the series. The story flowed really well and progressed at a really good pace. The two characters drew you I to the story and had you routing for them all the way.

This was a cute romance story focusing on a journalist teacher and a ER nurse.

Ben was sweet but had serious trust issues. He doesn't want his heart broken again but sometimes it's about taking a leap of faith. Gage was drawn to nurse hotty from the moment he saw him - but can he convince Ben to give him a chance?

This was a fantastic story and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The author captured the characters conflicted emotions, insecurities and fears really well.
