I really enjoyed this book it takes you through all the emotions from bursting out laughing to crying. The story is well written and you soon begin to care about the characters and what happens to them, loved the best friend and the daughter was a hilarious 8 year old eccentric! I cannot believe this is only her 2nd novel, I've read a lot of books by authors who have written far more and have not enjoyed them half as much. Would recommend as a great read, really looking forward to her next novel

A lovely, heart warming story about two women with a very different background and approach to life. The book is very well written and the characters sound real and come to life. I particularly enjoyed the easy banter throughout the book.
I hope book number three from Melissa Brayden is coming soon.

I consumed this fabulous book in a single day. I was off sick and feeling a bit sorry for myself...until I happened across and downloaded this book. I spent the next few hours wrapped up on the sofa oblivious to my headache and runny nose.

It is beautifully written with characters I found myself genuinely caring about and sparkling dialogue.

If you enjoy romance, treat yourself to this book. You won't be disappointed and I for one can not wait for the next one.

I have read all of Melissa's books - I just think her style, story telling and characters are right up my street. This one is a little different and I loved the contrast of the characters and class struggle. The daughter was well-written and a believable relationship develops between all 3. Just a warm, fuzzy read.

My favourite Melissa Brayden (of the 4 of hers I've read so far) although I would have to say that I liked them all. Great character development and a nice uplifting story - love Sarah's discussions with Carmen and also her declaration in the parking lot to a rather stunned Emery. Quite wanted to give Lucy a slap though...!. So pleased to see she has a new one due out in April...
