Sensible, detailed advice about healthy eating and exercise. This book was so cheap on Kindle I came close to ignoring it. SO glad I didn't! It's not at all patronsing yet manages to make this advice simple and easy to follow. I love it.
This nifty little book is really great. It has lots of recipes for healthy and tasty food, countless articles about nutrition and fitness, a 'fab or fad' feature for each month telling you which exercise equipments do and don't work, suggestions to help keep temptation at bay, and much more. It is the next best thing to actually having Tracy Griffen there in person as your personal trainer. The tone of the book is light hearted and not at all prescriptive, and the price is pretty great too. This is a book you'll keep coming back to, as you'll be dipping into it throughout the year to see what ingredients are in season or what sort of exercise is most suitable for the current time of year. Brilliant!
A compact paperback crammed with interesting informative content. The book is well presented with an introduction to healthy eating,tips and fitness advice. Each month has relevant advice to seasonal foods, tempting recipes to spur on the reader. Clear print with colour contrasts to highlight the script. In addition wonderful photographs intersperse the text. A book for an easy relaxed read sure to get any sloth moving!!
I got this book as a gift and am delighted at the inspiring content and fun attitude to keeping healthy. There are lots of articles on fitness, health and particularly healthy eating. The recipes all look easy and enticing and quick, with an emphasis on local and seasonally available food! The format is month by month so you can get some ready inspiration and new ideas at the beginning and try them out throughpout each month! Lots of nice piccies too!
Just got a copy of this book from Edinburgh personal trainer, Tracy Griffen. It's a really easy read, with loads of sensible tips for improving your lifestyle. Most books of this ilk tend to be very prescriptive, this one just gives you ideas that are easy to fit into your normal life. There are loads of healthy recipes and some more in depth articles on how your body works.
An excellent compact book full of practical tips, tasty nutritional recipes and solid wisdom. An excellent handbook to help us all build and maintain a great level of fitness. I love the month by month guide to goodness. Thank you Tracey for sharing your joy and your knowledge. This book will be used well and often.
