This book is full of fun ideas for knitters of all levels. The patterns are easy to understand and avid knitters will be able to use up all those odd bits of wool that litter their bulging work baskets. The only drawback is that you will not know which of the delightful patterns to start first as they are all such a joy. As a reformed knitaholic with two teenagers who objected to hand made items with cuddly motifs I had all but given up knitting. Then two things happened which forced me to dust of my knitting needles. Firstly I saw this book and secondly I was blessed with a positive glut of neices and nephews. I had originally intended the book to be a gift for my mother but once I saw it I was loathe to part with it and only did so on the strict understanding that I had unlimited access. Even my teenage daughter has expressed a wish for some of the delightful accessories and has even been inspired to try some for herself with fantastic results. Many of the projects can be completed really quickly which is always a bonus if leisure time is in short supply. I would recommend this book for anyone who has a ready supply of small children for whom there is no such thing as too many hats, mitts and socks.
