the book goes through the months charting Lucy's journey from being an overweight, unsure woman unlucky in love to soemone else entirely. of course, it just wouldnt be a susan donovan book without romance and that comes in the form of Theo, her personal trainer, (or as one character calls him, Theo-dorable!). he is also a charcter with that instant likeability factor and as we understand why he needs the money we feel for him too and almost long for these two to get together. from the back of the book i first thought that it sounded a bit shallow, the man only falling in love with the woman when she has lost weight but we find out it isnt like that at all.
if you like romance, humour and an ending that just leaves you smiling read this book - a page turner indeed.
The meet Theo, gorgeous hunk fitness freak with some personal problems. Two people who on the outside don't appear to have anything in common. He starts to train Lucy, getting her to lose weight, as she loses weight, she gains more confidence within herself and thats when things start to heat up between them.
I loved this book. Was a typical girly one but such a good read, very well written and definately worth a read. Susan Donovan is definately got another fan in me and I will continue to read all of her books.
This sounded like it was going to be an amusing read, Lucy is supposed to be a smart mouthed, take no prisoners type of woman, when in reality she's totally insecure. She's very self depreciating. While Theo was just too perfect for my taste, perfect looks, perfect personality, in fact I found him a perfect bore. He has a whole slew of female clients who refer to him as Theo-dorable, cringe! What bothered me most was he only started taking a more personal interest in Lucy once she shed the weight. I didn't like the message the story was giving, that love is only for the thin and if you're overweight forget it.
This was a great read, I read it on holiday and loved it, Lucy is great she has her hang ups about her weight and a crush on her trainer Theo who is sexy ,fit and seems to have it all but even the best looking men can have their own troubles and dreams as this story shows. Theo and Lucy are great together and I loved Theo's brother too! Really liked this its a simple roamnce with a great story and great characters

Though well written, didn't really make me care what happened to Lucy or the other characters.Read more
