A brilliant recording of a brilliant song. It's tasteful to the original and of course to the 96 and their loved ones. Despite a whole host of famous artists performing on this single, no one voice takes precedence over any others; egos are pushed aside for the cause. The cover of the single is equally as fitting; after all although Liverpool is divided by its two football teams, it is brought together by this disaster.

The Hillsborough scandal is of the utmost social and political importance to all citizens of the United Kingdom. The Police and other bodies charged with protecting the fans at Hillsborough sought to evade responsibility for the disaster by engaging in a sickening, systematic cover-up and smear campaign. The families of the victims have nobly fought the established power structures (Police, government, media) on their long march for justice and we owe them our support. It is self-evident that we all benefit by holding the people responsible for Hillsborough up to judicial scrutiny. Police corruption is damaging to all. This song will help provide the families with financial support so they can continue with their justice campaign.

It's also an excellent rendition of a classic pop song.

Wonderful cover of a classic with many great artists giving the song a unique and updated feel. The money raised from the sales goes to charities and helps further the legal fight to ensure the full and shameless cover-up of the police/FA's deadly incompetence at Hillsborough is fully exposed. Please get your copy and make it Christmas No 1 - who need all that X -Factor rubbish !!

it was before my 17th birthday when I met this "geezer" we worked in a paper mill and in the very early 70s it was work. My mate had the same sort of humour as myself and you could guarantee laughter when we both got together. Any way my buddy was a big lad and he laughed at people who started nudging and whispering when he walked into the pub. He always said I'm not fat I just happen to be to short for my weight. We remained close friends for nearly 2 decades then I screwed up. when I tried to get back in touch with him I was told he had passed on. I was a very lucky man to have met him and his family who treat me as one of their own. Back to the review this was the record we would always put on when we walked into a pub

I've always loved this song. The sentiment has brought me to tears on many an occasion including red nose days over the years. Is this version better than the original? I'm not sure to be honest. I like both for different reasons. But the winning feature for this one is the cause. The offer of support for the families of the victims at Hillsborough and the fact that they also gain financially towards the legal fees of their fight for justice makes this easily 5* for me. Well done to Everton for the original idea and the people who took on the idea to make this single.

This collaboration is a beautiful way to raise awareness about the heartbreaking disaster that happened, and the pain the families went through in order to get justice for their loved ones, but at an expensive cost. The families that suffered will not fully get the justice they deserve until the legal costs are paid for.

IN MEMORY OF THE 96 AND THEIR FAMILIES. Don't just buy this recording, make other donations. I have no faith that the government will make these new inquests easy for the families, or the world, to get at the truth. SOMEONE MUST PAY FOR THIS HORRIFIC EVENT.
