Highly recommended, the innovative Haxnicks Speed Hoe makes much lighter work of the fight against weeds and lumpy soil. Unique angle of the stainless steel head allows perfect positioning for both forward and backward strokes - reducing bending & minimising back ache.
Curved blade end slices evenly through weeds and lumps
Twin points at the rear dig sharply into the ground to draw blade naturally downwards through the soil
Triangular blade head creates stability, to provide a controlled and even cut
Specially designed for easy and accurate hoeing between narrow rows of precious plants - ideal for vegetable beds. Measurements: 1.7m (5'10") long x 12cm (5") wide. Stainless steel blade with a hardwood handle.

I have brought my replacement speedhoe out of hybernation in the shed. It is perfect, not even remotely warped. I'm really pleased both with my speedhoe and with Hacksnicks. I now give them 5 stars and have no hesitation in recommending it and them. I notice that garden centres are selling the hoe with the same kind of wood. It's not as aesthetic as the handle that warped but I don't care about that
UPDATE OF REVIEW BELOW: I also sent a complaint to Hacknicks. They have now replied saying they are going to send me another hoe, and that there was a problem with a batch of hoes that used a different wood. I have upped the rating on this basis to 4 stars as they seem to be working hard to solve the problem, and I really loved the metal part of the hoe for its super action. I haven't got the replacement yet but hope it will be ok this time
I bought this hoe last year and thought it was fantastic - really the best hoe I've ever used. I put it away in my very damp shed over the winter, and when I brought it out this year, it looked like a longbow! My dutch hoe shared the same conditions, and has been as "straight as a pole" for years! Why put a poor quality handle on such a brilliant product? Dont' buy it unless they bring out a new model with a better handle
I searched the internet for one and found it on Amazon.
I can honestly say that it's the best hoe I have ever used in my 45 years of gardening. I suffer from very bad lower back pain and this hoe glides through the weeds and is so easy to use. I saw on some of the reviews that the handle twisted .I haven't had mine long enough to know if it will but I really hope it doesn't as so far I LOVE IT. (and if it does its going back) It looks well made though so I am optimistic that it will be fine if I look after it
