Format: Hardcover
Written and illustrated by by those who love, care for, and care about this beautiful aeroplane. A detailed insight into the Tiger Moth with tremendous coloured and black and white photographs, informed and sometimes humorous text and all on excellent quality paper. Much, much more than another Haynes Manual. It's a bargain and thoroughly enjoyable. A great buy. Steven Slater has done a terrific job in pulling this superb book together in record time. It is an excellent blend of history, maintenance detail and real-life experience. Geoff Collins' photos of the airframe and engine details are crisp and well exposed. If you want to get the bug for restoring/owning a Tiger Moth this is the way to do it!

My first Tiger Moth book, a great introduction, history and background to the Moth as well of loads of great photos and a nice balance of general and technical text. Good sections on Moth variants, construction, engines and so on. The section on assembling and rigging a Moth to make sure it's all square and straight gives one admiration for all the airframe riggers who assembled and maintained these little aircraft while hundreds of novice pilots attempted to bend them again. A great book for a Tiger Moth novice and any aviation enthusiast.

Having flown - indeed solo'd - Tiger Moth's in the late '50's / early '60's this book is a wealth of nostalgia & packed with terrific detail that has enhanced my memory lane loops within it's pages no end. Just a pity Amazon kept sending me faulty NEW copies until I switched to a second hand [yet perfect] copy. If you buy one [as you MUST !!!] simply check that every page is there, & in the correct order !!!
