Havana Heat was an enjoyable wee read. It features everything a traditional romance novella should: lust, intrigue, complex situations, a good dose of drama, some steamy moments, suspense and of course a Mr Tall, Dark and Handsome.

Melinda Jones is fed up with dating. It is always the same mundane task where the man is only interested in something quick and casual. A successful wedding planner, her professional life could not be better, until a bride to be invites her to join them on their dream wedding in the gorgeous destination of Havana, Cuba. A break is just what she needs.

Detective Sebastian Garcia is struggling to cope with life. Suffering from PTSD, a trip to a Caribbean Paradise is just what the doctor ordered.

Neither one expected what they would find. Sparks fly, mix in sun, sea sand, salsa dancing and tequila and you have the recipe for the making of a real spicy Latin Loving. Well worth the read.

Melinda pulled a quick wedding in Cuba for one of her clients but she was not expecting to be invited! Buzzing!! And of course friends will have to come to keep her company for the ride... including checking out the HOT Cuba men! well she wasn't expecting to meet a hot guy herself!!

Detective Garcia has been put on sick leave by he's therapist and tells him to go on a vacation. But grieving for he's wife will he allow another women into he's heart?

Melinda is a wedding planner by trade in the UK. Everyone is getting married but her. She takes on a new client that wants to get married in Cuba and has to fly to Havana to make all the arrangements. A few of her friends decide to go along to keep her company. And, check out the men. Right away Melinda is drawn to Detective Garcia, who's vacationing while on temporary leave after the death of his wife. A part of him died with her when a drunk driver broad-sided their car.

Will Melinda be able to do for him what his psychiatrist couldn't?

5.0 out of 5 stars I really enjoyed this book 30 May 2017
By UIBB - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I really enjoyed this book, and read through it fairly quickly because I had a hard time putting it down. Melinda was a very likeable character, someone who I feel I could be friends with (if she were real!) The book was very entertaining, and I look forward to reading the ones to follow in this series. I thought that Sebastian sounded like a very handsome man, someone respectable and admirable. The book gets pretty steamy in some places, and I really liked reading about how their romance played out. This book was a good example of what kind of growth can come about when you're willing to step outside your comfort zone and have a little adventure. I look forward to more from this author in the future.

3.0 out of 5 stars Had potential 13 May 2017
By ANJasper - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I've never read a book by Kim Knight before and I really liked the sound of Havana Heat. But, something just fell a little short for me. I found the language repetitive and the characters a little hard to connect to. There was a lot of focus on Sebastian's past and while I get how much it changed him, I feel that it was a bit too much the focus of his story. That being said, I liked that the characters were a touch older (mid 30's) and the setting was completely original.

Sebastian and Melinda's meeting was unexpected and one of those "small world" moments that had me thinking fate came out to play. I really liked how Melinda stood her ground and didn't let Seb and all his back and forth stand in the way of what she wanted for herself.

While Havana Heat was short, it was plenty steamy! Melinda and Seb's romp really steamed up my kindle. Overall, I found this novella in Kim Knight's Romance Set in Paradise ok. I think I might check out some of the other books in the series because there is nothing like a short little escape!

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Romance 24 July 2017
By Victoria Zumbrum - Published on Amazon.com

I REALLY ENJOYED READING HAVANNA HEAT. I LOVED MELINDA AND SEBASTIAN TOGETHER. THEY HAVE SO MUCH CHEMISTRY AND PASSION BETWEEN THEM. THEY WERE STEAMING UP THE PAGES. MELINDA IS A VERY LIKABLE CHARACTER WHO IS LOOKING FOR LOVE AND HAPPINESS IN THE WRONG PLACES AND SEBASTIAN IS TRYING TO HEAL AND MOVE ON FROM A LOST LOVE. THEY ARE PERFECT FOR ONE ANOTHER.

I REALLY ENJOYED THE STORY AND I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO READING MORE BOOKS BY KIM KNIGHT. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A REALLY GOOD ROMANCE WITH SOME SUSPENSE, THEN I RECOMMEND YOU READ HAVANNA HEAT.
