The Haunted Realm is also excellent and deals with Britain and Ireland, and as Ireland is my native country I am familiar with some of the locations photographed, in particular Woodstock House in County Kilkenny with its tragic poetess Mary Tighe. The memorial to Mary Tighe is particularly beautiful as she looks as though she is in a deep sleep rather than the sleep of death.
All the photography in this book has Simon Marsden's distinctive and eerie style and the title page has an image that conveys both sadness and serenity. I would recommend this title wholeheartedly - 5 stars.
The text is, as usual, superb and complements the photographs perfectly. Well done!
