* Book 5 in Kelley Armstrong's fast-paced and wildly entertaining supernatural series
* 'Kelley Armstrong is one of my favourite writers' Karin Slaughter
Eve Levine - half-demon, black witch and devoted mother - has been dead for three years. She has a great house, an interesting love life and can't be killed again - which comes in handy when you've made as many enemies as Eve. Yes, the afterlife isn't too bad - all she needs to do is find a way to communicate with her daughter Savannah and she'll be happy. But fate - or more exactly, the Fates - have other plans. Eve owes them a favour, and they've just called it in. An evil spirit called the Nix has escaped from hell. She feeds on chaos and death, and is very good at persuading people to kill for her. The Fates want Eve to hunt her down before she does any more damage, but the Nix is a dangerous enemy - previous hunters have been sent mad in the process. As if that's not problem enough, it turns out that the only way to stop her is with an angel's sword. And Eve's no angel...See all Product description

What an exciting action packed stot7 that is so so addictive, readers wont be able to stop turning the pages!!! It is so addictive and I am super excited to start reading the next book and I highly recommend This book, this series and this amazingly talented author!!!!
This book is setting the scene for Savannah's relationships to build, and bearing in mind that she is only 21, I feel it was appropriate that this element was not expoloited. Savannah grows up in the pages of book 11, this was the more important focus.
Savannah is one of my favourite characters in this series, the cliff hanger definitely suggests there is more to come with her story as the focus. I am eagerly awaiting book 12!
As a young, independent woman, Savannah is keen to prove herself to her former foster parents by taking on an investigation by herself. In Washington state there is a small town that is experiencing some apparently unconnected murders. As a supernatural PI, Savannah is hired by a half demon to investigate any supernatural links and she soon finds out that small towns can have their own dark secrets. Savannah soon becomes attatched to the young daughter of one of the murdered girls and becomes desperate to help her. When she starts getting attacked and a man she cares about gets murdered, things start to look bleak for Savannah. However a welcome addition appears in the form
of her best friend and love of her life Adam. At 11 years older than her it's clear nothing will ever happen but having his advice and support means everything, especially when it turns out that the person responsible for bringing her to the town is an old aquaintance that is bent on revenge.
This book is the start of the end of the otherworld series and ends in a major cliff hanger which will be the start of the next book. Savannah is a great narrator. She is young, fun and full of attitude that makes the story funny and a really entertaining read. I so badly want her and Adam to end up together as they are the perfect partners. The cliff hanger at the end had me despairing about waiting a year to find out what happens. Savannah is now alongside Elena in being one of my favourite narrators.
I love Eve as a character; a devoted mother but someone who is really not to be messed with. The book is full of action and full of humour but also sad because sometimes the way to show you love someone is to let them go. Another amazing book by Kelley.
In the book Paige and Lucas are on holiday and Savannah is left to babysit the office, so when one of Lucas's contacts brings news of a series of murders in need of investigating Savannah jumps at the chance to prove herself a real P.I. Savannah finds herself in a small town with a number of hostile residents, including but not limited to a potential drug deal, convent leader not to mention the local cops.
This book is not especially long yet it seems as though a lot happens and it keeps the story on a constant roll, exciting, fast paced and addictive. The only big difference in this book is the romance - theres not much her but there are hints and nudges which i'm sure will work out in the next book.
So, another great book in what is a good series. Definitely worth the read!
