BJ McDonnell directs the third instalment in this series of slasher horror movies starring Kane Hodder as a bayou-dwelling serial killer. After Marybeth (Danielle Harris)'s parents were brutally murdered by the hatchet-wielding Victor Crowley (Hodder) she became consumed with the need to avenge their deaths. Continuing on from the end of 'Hatchet II' (2010) which saw her blow the killer's head off with a shotgun, Marybeth has since been arrested for the murders of the numerous other bodies found at the swamp. Being under the impression that they have their killer, the police are reluctant to believe her claims of a curse that enables Crowley to respawn after being killed. Can she finally convince them of Crowley's existence before he strikes again?

There's still plenty of fun to be had though- Zach Galligan stars as the local cop, Derek Mears who played Jason in the reboot is here and yes he does get to fight with Crowley played of course by Jason legend Kane Hodder. There's also a cameo by Sid Haig whose basically playing the same role as he did as part of the Firefly family in Rob Zombie's House of 1,000 Corpses and its sequel. There are some knowing nods and even though Adam Green isn't behind the lens for this one he makes a couple of appearances near the beginning of the movie which are fairly funny to fans.
If there is going to be a Hatchet 4, they need to change location, because even though Part 3 does entertain that faint smell of stagnation is about to show its ugly head, and they need to keep this one fresh because on the face of it this trilogy has been fairly entertaining.
as like the last one it starts from the end of Hatchet 2 and that's about as much of the film I will tell you but
the question is .... does it leave a doorway to Hatchet 4 in the end?
you will have to watch it to find out
As before to any horror fans Great movie to add in any horror collection and 1 and 2 movies are great as well worth having.
