Product Description

Product Description

From the people who brought us Bop It, Bop It Download and the multifarious other Bop It spinoffs, comes an edition of the talking electronic musical device that will have you spinning, pulling, twisting and generally bopping to the crazy beat, daddy-o. If that sounds easier than it is, you'd be spot-on. Bop It is half game, half challenge, half torture chamber, with lightning quick reactions and a keen sense of rhythm required just to keep up with its devious digital brain. One's core objective is simply to keep time with Bop It's electronic beats by pressing a sequence of buttons and generally manipulating the device as the tune evolves. But that's easier said than done when the tunes keep on getting faster and one's had a few Appletisers. With a whole universe of different skill levels to explore, it will have you and your chums a-boppin' until the wee small hours, as the infuriation grows and a burning addiction develops inside you. It's not so much about hand-eye coordination as hand-eye-ear-finger-wrist coordination. You dig?

Manufacturer's Description

From the people who brought you the legendary Bop-It Extreme, Bop-It Extreme 2 takes it to the next level. Move to the groove and compete to the beat. Bop It Extreme 2 is an electronic toy that challenges response time to bop, twist, pull, spin, and flick different parts of the toy. Adding to the excitement is a taunting, yet hilarious, electronic announcer directing your every move. The better you get, the faster it goes, and when you miss a beat you'll hear about it. Practice alone and play at parties, it's a game you're compelled to beat. For 1 or more players. Requires 3 x AA batteries (not included).

Now you can bop it, twist it, pull it, spin it! to a mix of four different music styles. Plus, the longer you play, the more the beats evolve and change. Can you keep up and Bop It to the Pop, Rock, Latin and R&B beats?

A wonderful brightly coloured contraption, which doesn't take up too much space in the children's bedroom! Great for improving dexterity, memory, concentration etc and at times, hysteria, when on the "pass it" mode. My 7 and 11 year olds do well with this toy, they are quite contented to play individually and get the best score they can. There are 2 modes "Beat Bop" and "Vox Bop" one of which commands you via a voice and the other in which you are commanded by a sound, both are entertaining although the sound one is more difficult. Ideal for parties...try doing this after a couple of drinks!!
Only gripe is the "High score" of 250 was attainable by my 11 year old after a week or two. Therefore the toy no longer poses a challenge to her.

This is a toy with a real double life. If you have a competitive streak, and kids, don't buy it unless you want some late nights!!!! It is mega-addictive, even if you get the high score, you will want to play again to try and beat it your-self.
On a fairly serious note, it is very entertaining, a great ice-breaker at parties, and as far as the kids go, it teaches co-ordination and the try try again mentality.
Not sure about durability, the vocal for "Flick It" sounds like "Swig It", and the maximum high score of 250 is too low. But,well, it's only a toy, and a very good one at that. Over-all it's a five out of five from us!!

These kind of games don't usually appeal to me - but this had me hooked. Whether playing on your own or with a group it is undeniably addictive.

For those of you who are over 30 and can remember the electronic game "Simon" this is a far superior, jazzed up progression of that. But if you think remembering Simon means you're too grown up for Bop It think again! It's impossible to sit and watch others play - you just want to join in.

Easy to hold, easy to use - the only hard bit is getting good at it!

..and if you feel guilty for wiling away so many hours, just be consoled by the fact you're improving your reflexes and dexterity in the process

Lets face it, once we get over 20 years old and don't have kids, we forget how great toys can be, so when my sisters came around with this I was quite interested in playing it.
The game is a hand-eye coordination test which is fun. This American guy yells BOP It, so you hit the big round button in the middle, flick it, pull it, twist it and spin it are also options. If you hit the wrong thing it's over.
The game isn't just solo fun, your friend can play it too, there's a head-to-head, and a version where you have to colaborate during the game - this is where a player plays for a minute or so and gives it to a friend.
The unit takes 2 AA batteries and has a headphone socket when you get fed up of hearing them play with it, and for people who get in a zone.
I really enjoyed playing with it, don't think my sisters liked me hogging it though!
Well worth getting - fun for the whole family!

This toy (if it can be called a toy) is in a class of its own. It is none other that truly brilliant! Living in a house of students, this has provided a never ending source of entertainment. It is easy to see how this would make a brilliant childs toy, but at the same time making an equally amusing adult entetainment.
But BEWARE.... It is an amazing time waster, as you find yourself absorbed into the world of Bop-it, determined to beat that highscore!
Boasting two single player game modes, the standard fox-bop, and the taxing Beat-bop. The multiplayer aspect is also class- with Pass-it game mode for group fun, while also one-on-one for, well, one on one gameplay.
Tests the reactions and the brain, while still being addictively fun.... With a high-score memory, keeping track of the current high score.
Faultless

I was bored and decided to myself to give this gadget a try. This product was amazingly addictive and I was always wanting to find out how high of a score I could get. Unfortunately; by 250 the score finishes and the game ends. So no; for those of you hopeing to break 1000 or even 1000000, it can't be attempted as 250 is the maximum.
The durability on this is descent enough. However, I feel anymore of reaching the 200 score marks and the amount of force which I am Twisting,Boping,Spinning, or flicking at the speed by then i think will slowly break this product.
Educational wise; this game is good at focusing people's coordination. If you have the time to spend and the money; get this it is a great product to have fun in your free time.

This is a great because it has 3 different modes and it is very addictive. Apart from being addictive because it is so fun and rythmic, it is also addictive because when you have got a really high score, you will constantly try to beat it, just like I did ;). I don't know whether this is just me, but I think bopit can improve your rythmic skills because you are following the commands in time with the music.
It can become annoying to others while you're playing it but this has a ear-phone plug, very convienient.
