I have had two of these now and initially they worked fine. The reason for the second though was that the first one failed and I was not able to find replacement parts anywhere on the web. The second unit has now failed and this time i don't feel it's worth replacing anymore parts, not that it's easy to tell which part has failed. While the dock is working it is fantastic though have to agree with on of the other users as the parts do not feel very well made. Sadly I am now looking for another dock for my ipod that is fitted and does not rely on an FM transmitter.

I didnt realise the amount of work it would be to install this into my car, especially as i have an in-built stereo which doesnt leave much room for installation and additional wires. The price of this product is great for what you get, however i suggest you understand exactly all of the components that come with this product and work out where they would all go in your car before you buy it. I had to return mine because i didnt have the room to install it all.

This is without doubt, the easiest way of controlling your ipod in a vehicle. I have had two of these in different vehicles and and decided to buy a 400 pound stereo system into my latest van. I am reverting to the Harmon Kardon. It might not be in colour, but it definitely does the job. 9/10

I spent a couple of hours wiring this thing in only to find it doesn't work properly with an ipod touch. It will play for a couple of minutes and then it comes up with Please Wait. If you unplug the ipod and plug it back in it will play for another couple of minutes before losing the connection. Complete waste of money, time and effort. You can buy mine on ebay now.

Fantastic value for money system for allowing mp3/ipod/phones to be plugged into and music played through the cars stereo system. Excellent sound transmission from device, well lit legible LCD display and easy to use control to access different menus.

I have one of these fitted in my BMW 330d. At first I thought it wasn't working, but as I ran it through my CD Autochanger, the CD Autochanger has to have discs in !! Very easy to use once you're used to it, I love mine.

I love mine! It is so easy to use when driving. It is difficult to install, but once there it is fantastic!

Just to assist others who maybe a little confused from searching on the web or reading the negative review on here for the Harman Kardon Drive + Play DP1. This product DOES work with an iPod touch. What you have to make sure you do is that you pick the 'Music' folder on your iPod touch, bottom left hand corner of the first menu screen BEFORE connecting the 12V cigarette lighter mains lead from the Drive + Play and then you wont get the 'Please wait' issue.

Basically the Drive + Play mimics your iPod controls and menus, but obviously it can't do this with an iPod touch which has such things as apps and all the other menus and options not available to all other iPods in the range.

To overcome this just pick the 'Music' folder as mentioned above before connecting the iPod and this overcomes all the issues.
