About the Author
Tony Fincham, current Chairman of The Thomas Hardy Society, has been exploring Hardy's Wessex for the last thirty-five years. He has previously published a series of guides to local footpath walks and more recently Hardy the Physician, a medical interpretation of Thomas Hardy's life and works. Tony works as a GP in rural West Kent, where he lives with his partner Mary and Dalmatian William.

The locations are not always the same ones that other authorities on the subject highlight and Tony goes straight back to first principles (ie Hardy's text) to comprehensively justify his identificatons.
