5.0 out of 5 stars The best Happy 2b Hardcore yet!! 9 July 2003
By thomas - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
OK i mean come on this is definately the best happy 2b hardcore yet by far. It had mad fast beats with uplifting vocals that carry you away. I have all 7 happy 2b hardcores and this is the one i play the most and love. I will give you a run down of the tracks.
1)Intro (9/10)- It's an intro it cant be that great but it really shows you the hulla vibe ...
2)"Dont cry for me" (9/10)- A great song to kick off the album with nice vocals and beats.
3)"Like An Angel" (11/10)- The best song on the album. Incredible vocals and amazing beats. The ultimate song!!
4)"Follow me" (8/10)- Good song. Kinda boppyish.
5)"Fly with you" (9/10)- Excellent vocals, the female has a beautiful voice but the beats fall slightly short of the vocal performance. All over a great song.
6)"Power of dreams" (9.5/10)- Very catchy one of my favs.
7)"Create" (7.5/10)- Not a bad song but nothing spectacular.
8)"Im ready" (8.5/10)- Good song and nice vocals.
9)"Shine a light" (9/10)- Very catchy beats and a great bass line. A strong song overall.
10)"Definition of a Bad Boy" (10.5/10)- A fantastic song. Great hardcore background and intresting vocals. I didn't like the song when i first heard it but now it's my second fav.
11)"My way" (9.8/10)- Great song overall. Great buildups, awesome bass, and a nice voice.
12)"Lost" (8/10)- Decent hardcore song. Very catchy you will wnd up humming it all day.
13)"Till the day" (9/10)- Another boppyish song that is really good.
14)"Get hype" (8.5/10)- Good happy hardcore song but nothing to rant and rave about.
15)"You're shining" (9.5/10)- Pretty voice and nice buildups and nice bass.
16)"Just accept it" (9.8/10)- Great song. Listen to the lyrics be cause they are so true to this whole scene. Great bass line.
Well overall this is happy hardcore at it's best. You cannot gom wrong with this CD, i promise. Enjoy it!=)

5.0 out of 5 stars A New Beginning for Hardcore 23 Jan. 2003
By C.G.Gray - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Wow! That is what I would say when I think of the Happy 2b Hardcore Series. When I got into electronica, I first started out with the basic poppy trance/dance and eventually meandered my way through house, breaks, hard house, Jungle/D&B and finally at Hardcore. The series Happy 2b Hardcore is a definative series in the evolution of Electronic Music. Basically, H2bH keeps the spirt of the old skool rave alive with its hard fast breaks, and escapist lyrics, but what makes each album amazing (especially H2bH Ch.7) are the influences by other styles that were popular at the time. You will have to read other reviews to understand the earlier albums becaue I have to cover H2bH Ch7. The album starts out with an intro by an MC with all the horns crews and whistle posses(if you have heard "Raver's Anthem", you know what im talking about) and then the first song "Dont Cry 4 me" slowly fades in and a chill erupts over your body. This album has gotten away from the chipmunk voices and techno sounds, and moved more into a speed-acid kind of sound. It gets you really pumped and the lyrics arn't that bad. What is kind of strange though, is usually there is a breakdown in the middle of the song(which is typical of Jungle trax) in HHC songs, but now, instead of that there is just a creshendo of musical madness that brings you to a higher high. I enjoyed this album and its a great way to start off "the new beginning"(which comes from the severing of ties to DnB/Jungle and the formation of an separate genre). I would definitly buy the whole series, NO JOKE!, it will be the best purchase you will ever make if you love it hard, fast, melodic, and love to dance your heart out.

5.0 out of 5 stars My First CD of Happy Hardcore... I'm impressed. 13 Sept. 2004
By S. L. McFarland - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Well I'm pretty new to the happy-hardcore scene. I'm mostly into trance... but I thought some happy hardcore music was fun, so I decided to get this CD. This is my FIRST cd like this... and I believe I bought the right one.

Excellent songs all the way through. It just makes me wanna jump around because the music is so much fun. Most if not all songs on this Cd I like, but the one that really stands out to me is "Till the Day" by Brisk. I've listened to this song repeatedly and have managed to get the best of what I could understand from the lyrics. The lyrics are really beautiful if you pay attention to what they say. Also, the melody is very good.

Happy Hardcore is so going on my favorites from now on! :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD! 14 Dec. 2004
By pauiel - Published on Amazon.com

If you enjoy happy hardcore (a variant of the techno/trance genre), you'll love this cd. The majority of these songs, you'll want to listen to over and over...and there, of course, is always one or two that could be (MUCH) better, BUT ARE STILL GOOD. This is my first Happy 2b Hardcore album, and I think it's a great album for others to start out with too!

One unique thing, that I personally think isn't that good, is that one song fades into another. This isn't bad...UNLESS, you've got two songs that sound quite different, and/or you've got a long transition time. That's one thing I didn't like.

All the lyrics (not much really) were good, but some songs could use a better singer for how nice the song sounds (example: Force & Style's 'Follow Me').
