This is more than just a reference book: it is full of information on both the theoretical background of palliative care and the practical aspects of prescribing, symptom control and other aspects of managing this sometimes complex group of patients...It also includes useful chapters on palliation of non-malignant disease, an area that is often overlooked. (BMA Medical Book Competition 2010)
...a remarkable book that will be useful for hospice and pallative care professionals as well as other readers. (Doody's Notes)

One of the best palliative care books, along with Twycross' introducing Palliative care. Both essential reading for anybody working in this area.I always knew it was good but then it was recommended by my university PGC(palliative care) so decided to buy as its never in the library! Very pleased, gripping read!

Very good content and brief and to the point. However not a useful size as too big for your pocket and too small to be a textbook. Would recommend to any one new to palliativr care
