The mixed reviews here made me delay purchasing this, but having read them carefully and weeded out the irrelevant (and also seeing it advertised at £50 on the brand site) I thought it was worth a try at £16.

Many will wonder about the inner section of the bag, since internal photos are lacking, but a previous reviewer has described it well and I'll provide my own experience too.

The large, main section zips completely from top to bottom, so when laid flat, you can flip the top over like a case to pack your gear. I see no problems with the quality of the zips.

That main area comes with configurable padded velcroed partitioning (and it comes already set up). My initial concern was that when my camera (and attached lens) was in the pre-configured section at the top of the bag and the bag was closed and vertical (on my back), the camera would slip over the partioning and stuff would get jumbled up in the bag. I thought the sheer weight of my DSLR and 18-55mm lens would be too much for it to handle but am pleased to say this fear was unfounded and everything stayed neatly in place.
And as others have stated, there is room for at least a DSLR and several lenses.

The middle pocket that you can see will comfortably house a book of approx A4 size and a couple of inches thick. If you know how to pack a rucksack, you will get a set of light waterproofs in there. It's true that, generally, unless you sacrifice something or have little equipment, you won't get picnics and flasks etc in there. But to be fair to the manufacturer, it's designed for camera equipment rather than picnics and personally, I'd keep food, clothing and my camera gear separate anyway.

this is a good small to medium size rucksack with good protection for my Nikon D200 2 standard zoom lenses and 0ne long zoom (70-300)f4.5 and the usual bits and pieces. it is light weight and well padded but has no room for other items such as waterproofs, a flask, or sandwiches so if it is just to carry your camera and kit its great but if you also want a day pack it's not so good. p.s. great 3 year warranty and it looks good without advertising its contents

Received my backpack as a birthday present & am very happy indeed with the quality of the item. Padded internal sections are completely removeable & adjustable (attached by Velcro) so you can customize it to suit your individual needs - lots of space too! - easily coping with DSLR & several lenses etc. I would recommend this backpack for its quality not just its price....but....the price makes it surely unmissable! Excellent....price was £15.99 when purchased.

I had ordered the Hama Track Pack II but received this (cheaper) bag instead.

This is a fantastic rucksack for DSLRs. It holds a phenomenal amount of equipment, and features a large number of pockets and thoughtful additions.

So far mine is holding my DSLR, 18-55mm lens, 50mm lens,35-80mm lens, old 70-210mm telephoto, new 70-300mm telephoto, flash gun, flash gun adapter, 3 spare batteries, lens cleaning brushes, antistatic cloths, and there is still room for the many weird and wonderful attachments I've collected over the years.

Let's take a closer look. On the front there is a small zipped pocket inside of which are two compartments, and a zipped/net pocket. There is plenty of room for batteries, stepping rings, cleaning cloths/brushes, memory cards, and filters here.

Next is a larger, single zipped compartment. Not sure what you would put in there, but manuals, hyperfocal distance cards/DoF calculators, white balance cards and small electricals would all fit nicely. In fact, mp3 players are almost certainly meant to go in this area - just above the zip is a curious rubber seal with a headphones symbol on it. On close inspection, it appear that this is a hole through which headphones can be threaded. I don't think I'd ever use this, but someone, somewhere, probably will.

On each side of the rucksack is a net pocket with a draw-string tie. Useful, perhaps for smaller drinks bottles/cans.

The main compartment is very generous. There are two longer padding strips and six smaller pads that allow you to make compartments to your requirements. There is also another pocket to store quite a few more flatish items.

Worth every penny, takes my 300 and 200mm lenses including my Nikon D5300 camera with ease. The Backpack still has plenty of room for all my Hard/Soft filters and regular lens filters also. Was surprised at how 'roomy' it was as the pictures don't do it justice. Well worth the money.

Had this bag a few months now, thought it looked good compared to other more expensive bags and I am quite happy with my purchase.

Some draw backs. The bag is quite deep so great for a larger DSLR such as the full frame models but for more compact models the camera is not kept very securely in place. There is no external flap over the zips so not sure how dry it it will be. I suppose it just means I need to get a waterproff cover for the bag. There is not a lot of padding on the staps but as long as you don't overload it reasonably comfortable

Overall though I am quite happy with the bag.
