Mine was faulty - the switches didn't work, there was a tingling on the metal frame when it was switched on and the stand was crooked. Apart from not being fit for purpose I would estimate this product as dangerous.
When I tried to claim a refund I was told it would cost £10 to send back.
I then told them I would go to Trading Standards if they didn't refund and that sort of
changed things and got some stirring! Then they demanded that before I got a refund I needed to take off the bad review I gave the product because they only encourage "Good" reviews and to let them know I had done so before they would refund .(copies of emails kept)
I refused to withdraw review on the grounds that it was a "fair" appraisal of the heater.
Apparently a full refund is now possible - but not without a fight!!
The shortcomings of this product are:
1. the base is very flimsy and you have to re-adjust the wire each time you move the heater, as the sensor pad switches itself off.
2. Due to the flimsy/lightweight base this just isn't suitable to have around young children or indeed animals. We have a cat and she can knock this over.
Other than that, its a great little heater and I'll probably buy another one more sturdy!
For the price you really couldn't ask for more especially with the added peace of mind that comes with the cut out switch; which activates if you knock the unit over.
But finally yes I agree with other reviewers, the first time you switch it on open the windows!
Recommended for use in home.
Has got 3 settings, use 1 bulb for 400 watt, 2 bulbs for 800W and 3 bulbs for 1200W, 400 Watt feels enough.
Safety tip-over switch
Easy carrying handle.

Cheap halogen heater but not very cost effective! It provides good heating and oscillates meaning it doesn't just give heat in one direction. Read morePublished 6 months ago by W.J
