About the Author
William C. Dietz is the best-selling author of more than thirty novels some of which have been translated into German, Russian, and Japanese. He grew up in the Seattle area, spent time with the Navy and Marine Corps as a medic, graduated from the University of Washington, lived in Africa for half a year, and has traveled to six continents. Dietz has been variously employed as a surgical technician, college instructor, news writer, television producer, and director of public relations and marketing for an international telephone company. He and his wife live in Washington State where they enjoy traveling, kayaking, snorkeling, and not too surprisingly, reading books.

Overall, I would highly recommend Halo: The Flood even if you dont usually read books or if indeed you havent played the game Throughout the book to the very last page you can familiarise youself with the characters in it.
All in all, buy this book and it'll make you eager to play the game again just to find out more.
I had a lot of anticipation for this title and i wasnt let down one bit. Having read the first book which sets the story and character profiles this continues the story of Sparten 117 Mastercheif and his fight to survive an alien force of immense size and power.
Its truly engaging once you pick it up you wont wanna put it down as every page is full of action and an amazing story that twists with a truly superb ending that leaves you wanting more which hopefully should be on its way.
This book should appeal to fans of Halo and fans of science fiction as the technology of the two forces is truly imaginative and possible without going over the top in short this book is great i cant reccomend it enough.
Honestly, i would struggle to see how any fan of Halo or science fiction alike cannot admire this book and the translation from game to book. When you read this book, the first thing that you notice is the attention to detail the author has given; you can be astoundingly consumed into the world of Halo SO easily, its scary...
Well worth a read. Definately.

Great book to a great game. Explains what the rest of the UNSC was doing while Master Chief was doing his part. It also has a covenant viewpoint.Published 15 months ago by Josh Lynch
May not be as good as The Fall of Reach, but still is worth the read. :DPublished 19 months ago by Tom_Williams
