£38 well spent. 5 mins to put together and so far 3 mights burning logs with people standing round wine in hand. If you want something to encourage people to stay out a bit longer on your BBQ evenings then this is it.
Looked good for the first month or two but has rusted badly and looks older than it is! I bought a chiminea at the same time which has provided far better patio heating. It's an okay product but I would look at alternatives
Seriously disappointed with this, which I bought as an Xmas pressie for my man who loves to stand outside with his mates smoking cigars and drinking whiskey - whatever the weather. First use last night and he said it threw out a lot of smoke but not much heat - there is no ventilation in the lower part to help the fire get going and its already warped from its original square shape. The instructions tell you to expect f to rust from first use - bad use of my money :-(
Good size, arrived quickly and easy to assemble. Had a few rust spots, and after 2 uses the paint is peeling in a couple of places. However, still pleased with the fire pit - let see how it gets on over the winter
Apart from the cheap feel to this, it did seem quite good initially. It certainly serves the purpose, but after one use, it has deformed iteslf with the heat, and the black matt coating is missing in areas, now showing rust. I would suggest a galvanised tin bucket with some holes in it, instead of this
I'm not keen on some of the fake chimenea things and this plain cube suits me well. It comes with a simple grate and raking tool, and it is light enough to lift and empty ash easily. OK, it will rust, that can't be avoided with this finish. Really, they should phosphate dip the steelwork (process used on some bare metal car and engineering parts) as this creates a look similar to black paint, but very rust resistant. However it also destroys the lungs of production workers and you really don't want to fall into the vat. So maybe paint is an adequate solution...
