The stirrer works well enough, as does the hotplate. The temperature reading is off by a few degrees, particularly at the hot end of the scale, 96 C displayed was boiling in pure water. Sadly the probe appears to not be waterproof, and can not be changed. It is hard to see in the second photo above but there is a tiny pinhole in the probe where the tube is welded shut, I suggest you inspect everything very carefully.
The appliance was not fitted with a UK plug, but instead supplied with an adapter of dubious quality. Using the adapter means the earth connection is not made, this could be a safety issue.
