This book gave me the information I needed to get an HTML5 website up and running and displaying properly in different web browsers in a fairly short space of time. You do need to be familiar with HTML and CSS already, though.

The authors go on and on. Explanations are extremely poor. They make the most simple thing sound so complex. The authors may know what they're talking about but with their poor explanations and clear lack of teaching skills it makes everything seem so confusing. Find another book made by people who realise that if you're teaching someone something you explain it in a straight forward way, not through boring the reader to death with constant rambling.
