This was not made clear on listing. Have contacted seller, so await next development.

This remote extender is supplied with a two-pin European type plug and sellotaped to the back of the packaging is a 13amp English adapter, which does not fit the supplied plug. Using my own adapter the product does not work at all. Appears to receive a signal but does not send it to the three sensors. Altogether a bad lot, it's going back first thing in the morning. Don't waste your money.

A little bit disappointed with this product, as it did not come with a UK plug which is not the end of the world but just meant I had to spend more money. Further, the transmitter peices are not 3 separate cables, they are all part of one cable, which makes the whole set up a bit messy as the cable runs from each applicance to the next rather than having a discrete cable for each.

Flawless product!

I used one of these for several years when our equipment was in a closed cabinet below the TV and it worked flawlessly! There are three transmitters and you need to find out where the IR signal goes into three bits of equipment. You then stick these transmitters onto them, feed the receiver outside the cabinet, power up and it just works! The receiver works across a wide angle, too, averting a problem with the Humax FOXSAT-HDR Freesat+ , say, where normally the signal goes through a small hole in the front of the case to a receiver: stick the transmitter here and the problem is solved.

My only criticism is that the transmitter wires are ugly on the fronts of the equipment, but this is for use in situations where that is all out of sight.

Infra Red Remote Control

I purchased this item to enable me to hide my sky box and AV receiver away from view. Both units are housed in a storage unit which when closed completely obscurse them. I placed the infra red receiver on top of the unit and fed the wires in to the storage unit and attached them to the rear of the doors. The unit works well although I do have a couple of criticisms. 1 the LED flashers mount in such a way that the LED appears to fire side ways rather than perpendicular to the mounting surface ie straight at the sky box and av receiver. This seemed to make the unit un reliable and in the end I taped the wires to the doors and bent the flasher towards the sky box and receiver. This seemed to make the operation more reliable. 2. The cables themselves could have been longer. All in all the unit does work but I believe the infra red output could be higher to make the installation easier. A more professional solution would be to use an infra red distribution amplifier with higher output IR flashers. I can recommend this unit but would make sure you can fit the flasher directly in front of the components IR receiver to ensure 100% operation.

Good for DIY

I bought this cheap item, broke it open and then fitted it inside my AV cabinet using cheap and thin bell wire.

Now I have a period dresser with all the tech hidden away and my remotes work perfectly.

Nice kit.

Be aware that u have to check which way the ir bulbs face (you can't see them with the naked eye). Use your camera phone. Watch the bulbs flash when u send a command using your remote.
