The trackpad/mouse buttons are pretty poor. The click and drag operation, so far, has seen files misplaced and had to be hunted down, the double finger drag sometimes scrolls the screen, sometimes doesn't, sometimes moves the window. This would have been a deal breaker if I'd tried this laptop before I'd bought. Although that said, I'm glad I didn't. This laptop really is the best laptop I've ever owned. There was something extremely rewarding to starting up my new laptop and being greeted by Ubuntu instead of Windows. The memory makes everything go extremely smoothly, the hard drive has MORE than enough storage space for all my work, college, music and gaming files. It's even more lightweight than my netbook but feels reassuringly robust. An extremely excellent middle range laptop. I'd recommend it, but would suggest you find one and give the trackpad a go first.
I love the fact that this is an Ubuntu machine. The other specs are quite good as well. But watching videos and running a few programs together makes the machine seriously lag. I believe that's because of the very basic processor. I'm having to invest in a new laptop now although I just bought this one. Write off.
