Used for when multiple people are playing Mario Kart on one Switch, and works perfectly.

Build quality is good for the price, and the multiple angles of the stand is a great feature.

HORI is always the to-go-brand for Nintendo accessories, I've never been disappointed. I'm buying their products since the Nintendo DS launch.
The stand is well made, there are rubber pads at the bottom to keep it steady and some rubber pads on the "shelf" mount to keep the Switch in place (and don't scratch it).
You can adjust the stand to several angles to find your best orientation to play your favourite games.
I usually use it when the main TV is busy and I want to have a quick session with Zelda, using the Pro controller for max performance.
I got the black one but there's also a red one "Mario" edition but the features are essentially the same.
It's a useful add-on for your Switch if you prefer to play with the Pro controller and want a secure place to put your Switch (and avoid slipping and other issues).
Highly recommended.

What can I say? It's a piece of plastic, which does a lot less than I thought. And yes, I should have researched it more before buying.
Essentially there is a flap at the back of the main part, much like the back of a picture frame. It adjusts to 3 heights, just by moving the flap to 1 of 3 positions - none of which are very different and all of which are low. Once you position the switch onto the main part, which is a little flap that pops out, there are two little raised dots, which fit into the little holes, either side of the charging port. No, I hadn't noticed then at first either! Lining these up is tricky and it's easy to overlook them. So now the Switch is sitting on a ledge of sorts. There are two small extensions on the ledge, which you would think would be adjustable - you know, to tighten around the Switch? Well, they're not and as such, are pretty useless tbh.
All in all I'm unimpressed.
Sure it's 'portable' as it's all flaps that fold down, but don't try and move your Switch when it's 'mounted', as it will merely fall to the floor.
A waste of money. Get the cheaper one if you can. Looks like it does the same job for half the price.

This is essentially the perfect Switch stand, well designed and providing a choice of 3 viewing angles. It raises the Switch to a good viewing height and also lets you charge it up if you plug in the charger (this is not a charging device itself). It folds flat so good for travelling. This will get a lot of use on train journeys. One star down for value - it is rather a lot of money to pay, but pay it I did, as this is my Switch and I love it.

Do you want to play the Switch in a portable version but do not want to hold it in your hand? You can do it with the back leg, but what happens when you want to charge it in the meantime? Upss ...

Here our friend Hori appears to save the planet. It is a plastic stand designed exclusively for our nintendo Switch. Being plastic and not metal, it prevents you from scratching our console when you take it with us. And what is special about other stands? Well, in addition to being completely foldable to take it in our NNS40 case (from ardistel) or our backpack, it has special pins (located to the right and left of the usb-C) so that our nintendo does not move from the site (same as those that take the dock)

If you put it together with an USB 3.0 to USB C cable from Aukey, and the Ardistel NNS40 case you will have the definitive travel set. You can charge your Switch from any device that supports USB (laptops, sockets, etc)

The Hori Play Stand arrived about an hour ago and its great. The three problems with the Switch in table top mode are the kickstand is too flimsy, the angle is rubbish and you can't charge and play. This fixes that. The stand itself folds up nice and compact. The switch is held nicely in place in the stand but two little plastic parks that slot into the switch. It raises the switch up to a better viewing level and all three positions on the stand are great. For a tenner you can't go wrong

Purchased this console stand as it allows for much greater stability when using the Switch in table top mode, and is the perfect accessory for charging the console, without having to lie it down see attached review picture, and it has ventilation holes in the back of the stand which perfectly match the switch. Can also be used for a variety of other devices, e.g. tablets, mobile phones etc. Overall a great product and it's also attractive to boot, buy it you'll be glad you did.

Great little stand, has three “slant” settings so you can have your switch set to any of the three angles.

Only downside for me is that it’s made of plastic, would have been fantastic if it was made of alliminium or other metal. Feels like it could be easily broken. Rated 4/5 for this reason.

Aside from that, a lovely product! Brought the Zelda one and Mario, so I could have one for at home and one for travelling!
