A general note for the plus-point of tarps - esp with this camouflage colour - you can get into just about any spot imaginable and for me, that added a lot to the enjoyment of my trip; getting close to nature at the same time.
The down side is that it is hard to use basha poles with it due to the fact that there are not any small tarp holes but only loops so they slip easily even when tied down, using extra large tent pegs may get round this problem somewhat.
summery: It is a light, well priced well camoed basha but alittle difficult to erect (without abundance of trees)
What is a basha?
A basha is another word for a tarp, and both the word and object originated from Britain's colonial times in India.
The first important point to mention with this basha is that is weighs 480-500g. That is lighter than any competitors I've seen - the Australian Hootchies at £60+ is 680g, and the British Army version 960g. The Highlander bashas come with stuff sacks that are big enough to fit 20m of paracord, and four guy lines in them along with the basha itself. The weight is the key, because in many situations where you intend to use a basha, you'll probably be travelling light, and you never know when that extra 500g of C4 you can pack with this basha will come in handy. Because they are small and so light, the natural question is to query the build standard of the item, and its water resistance. recommend it any day
how ever this beauty is full size give plenty of head and foot space either end , being ex british forces i know when i get a great deal and this is one and a must in the field its light wieght waterproof you can use it as several dierent shelters a make shif stretcher and its good quality 5 stars
Reinforced straps round edge of tarp with poppers to join sheets together or fold a sheet round say a sleeping bag. (But would be wise to thread cord through holes as poppers will pop open under strain). Polyamide so stronger material than some.
