I used this tarp along with a Trekmates Jungle Hammock for a year back/bikepacking. From a summer in Aus to Autumn/winter in NZ and then USA. The camouflage colour soon showed its benefit, in Adelaide, when I had a self-contained private/free camp spot very close to the centre/behind a school. Just an isolated tree and a few shrubs was enough to make it blend/invisible from the nearest footpath. It became part of the enjoyment to find a new patch each evening, knowing the tarp is more than up for the task,.. I never got wet in NZ, or had the tarp rip/scuff from the aggressive NZ bush. It is also able to squeeze in a +1 in case you pick up a mate along the way. I love the size for the weight (450g) - to be able to fit 2 and provide comfort for 1, pitched as a lean-to, A-frame or other. It then packs down very nicely into a ruckasck, or pannier bag; acting as a decent waterproof top layer (don't waste your money on Ortliebs). For £25, a definite long-lasting bargain.

A general note for the plus-point of tarps - esp with this camouflage colour - you can get into just about any spot imaginable and for me, that added a lot to the enjoyment of my trip; getting close to nature at the same time.

i ordered this a while back and it's great, the camo is great for British forests i lost my camp site for abit! if i didn't remember it, i'd never know where to look! even in a chalk pit! (all white and few odd trees and grass) It is responsibly priced and when it's in the compression bag it's very small and light weight which when your out and about with limited backpack space.

The down side is that it is hard to use basha poles with it due to the fact that there are not any small tarp holes but only loops so they slip easily even when tied down, using extra large tent pegs may get round this problem somewhat.

summery: It is a light, well priced well camoed basha but alittle difficult to erect (without abundance of trees)

very good quality product and good customer services Colours: DPM Camo onlyBasha is made from 100% Nylon with a double sided PU coating and fully taped seams, waterproof to 2000mm, double stitched loops. Ideal as a versatile shelter, sleeping bag cover or emergency stretcher.Size: 8ft x 5 ft Approx.
What is a basha?
A basha is another word for a tarp, and both the word and object originated from Britain's colonial times in India.

The first important point to mention with this basha is that is weighs 480-500g. That is lighter than any competitors I've seen - the Australian Hootchies at £60+ is 680g, and the British Army version 960g. The Highlander bashas come with stuff sacks that are big enough to fit 20m of paracord, and four guy lines in them along with the basha itself. The weight is the key, because in many situations where you intend to use a basha, you'll probably be travelling light, and you never know when that extra 500g of C4 you can pack with this basha will come in handy. Because they are small and so light, the natural question is to query the build standard of the item, and its water resistance. recommend it any day

I LIKE THIS TARP VERY MUCH. IT`S NOT A COMPLICATED DESIGN, JUST A SIMPLE RECTANGLE BUT VERY STRONG AND LIGHT. IT CAME IN QUICK TIME, VERY WELL PACKED, AND I SAW STRAIGHT AWAY THAT I`D BOUGHT A QUALITY ITEM. THERE ARE PLENTY OF WELL REINFORCED SUSPENSION POINTS AROUND THE EDGES AND IN THE MIDDLE - ALL PRETTY MUCH BOMBPROOF. IT`S A GOOD SIZE FOR SOLO USE AND IT`S JUST ABOUT BIG ENOUGH FOR TWO. WHEN MY SON AND I USED IT IN THE RECENT VERY WINDY AND RAINY WEATHER WE WERE A LITTLE CLOSE TO THE EDGES, BUT USE A BIVI BAG / SLEEPING BAG COVER AND IT`S NOT A PROBLEM. GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY.

Reasonable quality product.
Reinforced straps round edge of tarp with poppers to join sheets together or fold a sheet round say a sleeping bag. (But would be wise to thread cord through holes as poppers will pop open under strain). Polyamide so stronger material than some.

I cannot wait to try this out, I have unpacked it to inspect and am very pleased. This material feels strong and durable aand I like the sewn in tabs. As I said I am very keen to try this out. I have given 5* based on look and feel at the moment if any problems then will change but I am sure I won't have to.
