Strong magnets, they attract from about 5cm away from each other, and the magnets are strong enough to hold the weight of the 2m cable by itself when attached and plugged in.We used it for our VR headset. Having to fiddle with the USB-C connection awkwardly below where the head strap connects to the point it was starting to frustrate, we jumped on to this idea. It’s akin to the magsafe connections the Macbooks use, and the usage on our VR headset is completely seamless in usage.The pack cable with the cable, and 3 sets of plugs. A USB-C, lightening and a micro-USB. Our headset uses the USB-C so that’s what we’ve setup and used. Simple to do, just insert the plug into the USB-C port on the device, and you’re good to go. When you want to charge, all you have to do is simply offer up the connector to the port, and it’ll automatically find it’s way and latch on.You know it’s worked because you’ll here a clink as it snaps together and the glowing led from the cable will start to shine. The head of the connector moves around, in any direction so the connected device can be picked up and used to a certain extent, but be aware they are designed for a fast connect and disconnect.Works exactly as we expected it to. Really happy with it and makes using the VR headset so much more enjoyable. Will be getting another one for our 2rd VR headset that has the extended battery pack.

    Now I need to purchase new cables, and these faulty ones must be disposed of for safety

    This product only comes with one connector for each USB type. I think this is a downside as they are easily lost and then the product is useless if you need that particular connector. I lost mine within five minutes of use! However, they sent me a new one when I complained.

    The lead is of good quality and works really well in the car. I do a part time delivery job so am plugging and unplugging my phone countless times. I bought this for the job and it works really well. Saves the charge port from abuse and gives me a vital time booast.
