Good little motherboard, just what I needed!

I purchased this and put a Intel I5 3570k on it and it worked very well, and did not need a bios update or anything! It recognised my CPU and it also has options to overclock my ram in this motherboard too (Not sure if that's exclusive to K model Intel chips). The layout is good, does it's job nicely and the board is durable as well. It also features the 3.0 Pci-E too which makes it nice and up to date with my AMD 7850 2GB!

And even with a dual slot gpu there is still one Pci-E slot (One of the smaller ones) that isn't covered by my graphics card which means I can use it for a sound card. Which reminds me the onboard sound is not that bad, and the software for it is actually really nice to use and look at!

Over all I'm very happy with this purchase! Top marks Asus!

Great little board

Brilliant little motherboard for those on a budget build or who are just in need of a simple board.

Good parts:
The RAM and socket type allows you to use up to 1866mhz ram, perfect for gaming.
The PCI-e slot is version 3.0, which provides more bandwidth to your graphics cards
The BIOS is easy and has an auto overclock function to get the best performance out of your processor / ram

Not so good:
A larger graphics card (I have an r9 270x) covers over some of the SATA ports, so you will have to use a SATA cable with a right angled connector. They provide of these for you with the mtoherboard.

Although the board supports USB3.0 , it does not have any usb3.0 ports. You will need to buy a 3.0 card and plug it into the motherboard header.

Many, many downsides.

Honestly a pretty bad motherboard, barely lasted a week.
Pros:
Great bios
Good error detection (in most cases)
Nice installation guide, with easy to understand diagrams (In terms of installing front I/O pins etc)

Cons:
The motherboard wouldn't shutdown by itself, e.g. after shutting windows down it would just sit there idle, requiring a power shutoff
Really didn't handle my GFX Card well, upon launching games the card went crazy (intense fan speeds), leading to the mobo restarting itself.
One of the DIMM slots actually died, having 2 is bearable, but 1 simply wasn't enough.
Finally, 2 of the SATA ports are completely covered if having a medium sized GFX Card (GTX 650 Ti BOOST), I even had to bend the other two ports because they were still too close to the GFX Card.

Small but powerful

This motherboard works really well. I bought it as I won a m-ATX chassi and was on a budget. It can't overklock, which is a shame, but it's hard to find a mATX 1155 motherboard that can. You'd have to fork out twice the money for that. My CPU is not actually supported, so I had some niggles before I got it to run properly, but the BIOS update is childs play and it works absolutely fine. It warns that the CPU is not supported, but I just turned that off and have had nu issues since. The Fan Xpert feature is great and you can easily set your own fan curve from AI Suite, as well as monitor the speeds and temperatures. A very capable motherboard with a competitive price.
