Hard hitting roller coaster ride of emotions almost put it down a couple of times as can be a hard read but so worth it. Gwendolyn and Welch are such strong characters despite their torment. A must read for those that can handle the darker side of life.

This is a dark tale of sexual abuse towards children, the fight they put up and the love they have.
It is upsettingly, heartbreakingly, unsettlingly, harrowfully beautiful.
Welch and Gwen are complete contradictions. Weak and broken, yet strong and put together, scared and defenceless, yet brave and forceful. Innocent youngsters in a world of pain and disgust yet violent aggressors.
Tainted by insanity but touched by love.
The story has twists and turns, ups and downs. There's no joy, even when you expect there might be a little bit on its way....bang, it's ripped away and leaves you distraught for this beautiful pair of monsters.
Mary Palmerin's writing technique draws you into the story, she's not afraid to push boundaries and touch on the tabboo. Just a pure joy to read!

Wow. I absolutely loved this story.
Gwen and Welch meet in a less than satisfactory situation.
Thrust into the system by tragic circumstances they find solace in each other.
Well sort of.
The things they endure build up until it can't be contained any longer.
Trying to get through the days until they can legally leave the system they try to get through it.
The price of small mistakes is huge.
They do what they can to survive.
Can they get through it?
This was a first read by this author for me.
I am so glad it was recommended.
I can't wait to get my hands on the story of Welch.
He clearly has allot to say.
