Life-changing. The most practical gut guide. (BBC's Dr Rangan Chatterjee)
The Gut Makeover transformed me and changed my life. I also lost 18 pounds. (Tim Arthur BBC Radio London)
I dropped a dress size. I feel mentally clearer, far less emotional, have got rid of an ongoing chest infection and sleep better on a regular basis than I have in months. So much so that a few months later I'm still eating according to the plan, which doesn't feel like a hassle at all. (Caroline Sylger Jones The Times)
Based on revolutionary new research that reveals that the state of our gut is central to our weight and health, this book offers a lifestyle that you'll want to adopt for a lifetime. (Natural Health 2016-03-01)
I slept better; my brain was perky through the day when it would often have been flagging by 3pm; even my patience was improved. I'd also lost 3kg (6.6 pounds) without ever feeling like I was 'on a diet'. (Louise Chunn Welldoing)
Transformed people's lives (Nikki Bedi BBC Radio London)
This makes total sense (Nikki Bedi BBC Radio London)
The Gut Makeover is rooted in cutting-edge nutritional science, with a 28-day plan that will help you boost your digestive health and lose weight (Dr Mark Hyman MD, author of Eat Fat get Thin)
I've been recommending Jeannette Hyde's The Gut Makeover book in clinic to my patients all week. It's highly-digestible (excuse the pun) and an easy introduction into a new area of eating which is here to stay and could have massive benefits for people suffering disease (Dr Rupy Aujla, GP)
Jeannette Hyde takes the science of diet and wellbeing and makes it fantastically digestible and easy to implement day to day. Anyone who wants to improve their health both now and for the future should read The Gut Makeover book. Food is information. Food is medicine, and this book will show you the how, the what and the why (Dr Ayan Panja, GP)

I really had no idea that it would feel such a change. I ate a lot of vegetables anyway, always putting extra into any recipe I could. Cutting out grains, though, made me focus each meal around plants, rather than shoehorn them in as extras. It was summer, so I had huge salads most days and loved them. I didn't miss the beige food at all. The banana nut bread kept me going in the first two weeks when I wanted to go off plan.
My blood pressure, which has been high for years, started coming down straight away. I have come off most of my tablets and hope next week to come off the last one. I have had a stuffy nose all my life; that went too and I was amazed that I could smell lovely summer fragrances when I went outside. I haven't noticed any hay fever this year. I've also been sleeping better. And I discovered that the skin condition was related to dairy. I am avoiding that now and my skin is better as a result.
I thought I was about as healthy as I could be. I'm amazed at how much better I feel now. I'm continuing with many of the elements of this long term.
Takes a little bit of thinking about what your eating next, but we’ll worth it. You may well lose some weight too boot!
2 months later and eating lots of different food. Cut down on drinking and have picked up a lot of good habits.
