GUITAR HEROES has it all: fascist demon-hordes, portals between parallel realities, horse-sized cockroaches, horned bipeds, zombies, demons, and even a wicked necromancer with evil written all over his face -- literally.
When the armies of darkness come knocking at your door, who're you gonna call? Ghostbusters? Not hardly. Try the hard-rockin' trio Screaming Machinery instead. When they're not playing triple encores to their adoring fans, they're standing in the gap for the survival of humanity -- particularly those who call Manchester their home sweet home.
You may think you're a Guitar Hero, but you won't know the meaning of the phrase until you read GUITAR HEROES by Simon Kewin. Buffy the Vampire Slayer gives it two thumbs way up. So does the Association for a Zombie-Free England. Necromancers Anonymous refused to comment at the time of this post...
A short story that packs such a lot! It's definitely high octane urban fantasy that's crying out to be a series or at least a novella! Here you will meet the Guitar Heroes - a heavy metal punk rocking band one day and a butt-kicking, dagger (jagger!) weilding, witch, warlock and wizard by the next - a delicious threesome led by the wise old Merlin. They battle crowd surfing over enthusastic fans on one gig and in another they are in a parallel dimension of a Manchester fighting for their lives as they attempt to save... erm.. Manchester. From what? That would be telling. - you'll just have to buy the story!
