Success in today's global economy is a challenge. You can't just hang your shingle and expect customers to know you exist and you can't just hire someone to do an advertising campaign and expect customers to flock to your door. The world just doesn't work that way anymore.

So what's the alternative? A great website? Persuasive email copy? Newsletters? Social networking? Podcasting? YouTube videos? Yes, all of the above and so much more. Today's entrepreneur has to make smart decisions and use all of the resources at his or her disposal in order to build up a successful business that withstands the test of time.

Guerrilla Marketing on the Internet is the guerrilla marketing book that every entrepreneur should read. Like all of the guerrilla marketing books, this book focuses on solid business practices such as knowing your customer and fulfilling their needs instead of just selling a product. With hundreds of ideas for low cost promotions this information will jumpstart any marketing program and place it on the track to success. So many opportunities exist on the Internet and this book makes it easy to take advantage of them.

I was very disappointed in this book. It was marketed furiously to me and other marketers as the bees knees but much of the information appeared to be out of date. When you consider it is internet related information product then that is all the worse.

Back in 2008 I rated this book at the four star level.

Unfortunately Internet books become quickly obsolete as both technologies and best practices change. You can find better for 2015 and beyond.

However, if you see a second hand copy going extremely cheap, it is worth flicking through.

This book is a shallow start with a great deal of filling in the pages to make it thicker. If you're looking for some serious internet marketing, you'd be better off browsing the web and attending some seminar.

Like most good guides - this one tells you to do all the things that you knew you should be doing - like writing this review with a link to your site.

You've read this review - and maybe even clicked the link to my profile and on to my Blog and you may have even bought my product - so it must have worked!

Only criticism I'd have is he seems to be marketing marketing or very simple products with broad appeal. I am trying to market a quite complicated product (Fusion Accounts: online accounting - anytime, anywhere) to a specific market.

Getting 3 million hits on my website does not help me if none of them are interested in improving their business efficiency.
