About the Author
K A Denver is a wife and mother to two fantastic children as well as two cute furbabies, she is based in Co. Antrim in Ireland. Since her early twenties she had a dream, she had wanted to become an author of Adult, New Adult and Young Adult books and share with others the worlds and characters she kept in her head. It took the love and support of her husband as well as the courage gained from raising her two children to help her decide that she needed to stop procrastinating, finally putting words onto paper, she has taken the first step towards her dream. Her first novel The Guardians: Forest of Ancestors began as a short story which she had written for a Blog Take Over event. The story was so well received that she was contacted by readers asking where they could read the full novel. She is currently working on the first draft of her second novel, The Grimoire Prophecies. A Young Adult book based on a young girl and the choice between brothers, one who walks in the light of good, the other in the shadows of evil. But, which is which? The Second book in The Guardians series, which we see through the eyes of Fionn, will be available early 2018.

Well! Where do I start? What an intriguing, well-written piece of fantasy fiction. I was taken in from the start by the characters and then the storyline. Most times it is the other way around, I typically need to enjoy the story first before feeling anything for the characters. K A Denver does such an excellent job of building the main character, and his friends, you become lost in their world without the need to see where the story is going.
Without giving too much away, the warrior witches are fighting against ancient dark forces that threaten their tranquillity and peaceful way of life. There are some enjoyable twists that will surprise you. I would highly recommend this book and I'm looking forward to the next in the series as well as anything else this Author can churn out.
The only thing I will say is that at times it felt a little repetitive, with certain things explained several times, however, this was a very enjoyable read! :-)
Cannot wate for the next one. I would recomend this book to enemy one.
I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Will be on my to read list. Thank you
The forest of ancestors is a well written piece of fiction that grabs you right from the start, hold you tight and then body slams you at the end.
The book revolves around a small number of well written intriguing, well developed characters. This teamed with the quality descriptive writing makes you feel like you are there standing by the characters taking in, feeling and experiencing what they feel.
Kathy’s writing style is second to none and has just the right mix of building up the characters back story, with the current storyline with a constant drip of excitement and intrigue and then unleashing just a the right time a plot line that keeps you gripped to the page and wanting more. On a couple of occasions I even found myself holding my breath when I had finished reading some of the chapters.
The concept behind the story is refreshing and not your usual story about magic and witches, it leaves you wanting more and a desire to find out what happens next to Eli, the rest of the coven and what the D’thesh have in store for humanity.
I do say if you want a different and engaging read, I would purchase this book. I enjoyed it that much that I am waiting on it to come out on paperback so I can purchase it again so it can join the select few of my coveted books on my book shelf.
