I love the concept behind the Continuum novels, our hero Jack Sigler (from the Chess Team novels) is stuck in the past for thousands of years and is still trying to right wrongs and fight monsters along the way. The scope for this series is endless!

A great read, full of the action and monsters we expect form this series, I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting. A very welcome addition to the Chess Team saga.

What a page-turner. I honestly could not put it down. Lots of action and extremely well written. Robinson & Holloway are a fascinating combination. I would strongly recommend reading the other Chess Team/ Jack Sigler Thrillers before picking this one up as it does have some major spoilers that happen in those, however, if you don't mind spoilers go ahead and get this. I can guarantee you will not be sorry.

Historical science fiction. Best way to describe this novella.
I have read every single Chess Team novella in the series, and I think by far this is my favorite one. Jeremy Robinson and Kent Holloway manage to blend history and science fiction, as well as a tad bit of religion as smooth as a refreshing....milkshake (I'm bad at metaphors).
Now, for readers new to Jeremy Robinson, a quick tip so you don't see my review, nod smartly, and then click "Buy;" this novella takes place after the Chess Team novel Omega, so I would highly suggest heading over and purchasing that before reading this one. You don't have to, but it definitely sets it up better. Although if you're new to Jeremy Robinson, you will probably need to also purchase the rest of the Chess Team novels (Pulse, Instinct, Threshold, the various character-based novellas, Ragnarok, and Prime) before purchasing Omega before purchasing Guardian. Sounds like a lot, but so does going to Six Flags; it's a trip getting there, but oh my is it a blast!
So buckle up, settle in, and get ready for a ride 2,000 years in the past!

This book was impossible to resist as I studied the Babylonian Empire as a theologian and just had to read Robinson's take on Tiamat. Fantastic monsters, a rip-roaring pace and some gruesome ways for King to (almost) die. A quick, enjoyable read.

Guardian, the new King book by Jeremy Robinson and J. Kent Holloway is a tale of high adventure! If you know the Chess Team, King in particular, this is a good chapter in the saga. DO NOT read this unless you have read Omega by Robinson and Kane Gilmour first! I'm serious! In fact, check out all the other Chess Team books first, Prime, Pulse, Instinct, Threshold, the 8 CallSign novellas, Ragnarok, and then Omega. This is an awesome series an you'll love it, especially from the beginning!
