This stuff is amazing, in fact borderline miraculous.
The trim on my 7 year old Civic was faded and shabby, after using C4 it looks like it just came out the showroom.
I'm not easily impressed, and I was very impressed by this.

I have been wanting to try this line of products for ages so I was pleased when it came quickly along with the correct applicator discs. I made sure the trim was clean and fully dry and then applied the product. I was amazed by just how far a few drops of the liquid went and how easy it is to apply but I made the costly mistake of not taping up before application and a little of the product went onto the edges of my paint. Do not make the same mistake I made, this stuff is Chuck Norris hard to get off paint. The bottle itself easily hold enough for about three cars worth of trim.

Unfortunately it didn't seem quite so willing to stick onto black plastic trim that was its intended purpose. It's saving grace is that it only came off when I pressure washed the car a few times, so while I'm not completely convinced by this molecular bond talk, it defiantly is a hell of a lot harder wearing than any trip restorer I have used before.

The summary is it is very hard wearing and goes a long way but I think I was expecting a little bit more from it. Make sure you tape up first.

Firstly this product is different from the more basic trim cleaners/silicone restorers you find in your local Halford or Auto parts store. The cheaper and more basic silicone cleaner/restorers such as Meguiar's Ultimate Protectant Plastic Restorer, do make the trim look shiny but the effect only lasts till the next wash or a couple of weeks tops in sunny or rainy weather.

Whilst the Gtechniq C4 is very expensive it claims to last up to two years but even if it give 18 months until I need to reapply then it is worth it. After seeing vehicle details recommending it on You Tube I had tried a product called Solution finish, which is more like a dye and a little I spilled stained the brick in our driveway black. But application of Solution finish lasted less than six months.

The Gtechniq C4 liquid is clear and application is easy, Gtechniq even supply the application pads. For both the C4 and Solution finish treatments prior to application I cleaned the trim with rubbing alcohol and allowed good time for it to dry. At first I was not really sure if I had just wasted my money as it did not seem to be making much difference but after ten/fifteen minutes it was easy to see the Gtechniq C4 had made a real difference to the look of the vehicle's trim, which improved further when I buffed off the residue..

Now a month after applying the C4 and even though the vehicle has had a hand wash and also been put through a car wash the trim still looks as fresh as it did directly after the I applied the C4.

Hopefully it will last but even if I have to do it again next spring it will still have been worth every penny

I was sceptical about this product, it seems very expensive compared to how much you get. However a little bit does go a long way. I bought to finish off headlamp lens restore and protection for UV. Applying the product really finish the headlamp off, they look like new now. Its anyone's guess if it does offer protection for UV, the product say it does, it is too early to tell yet.

I was very dubious in purchasing this, mainly due to the high price of it.

I applied the Panel restorer from Gtechniq to prep the surface and then applied the C4 to my black plastics on the car.

Its fantastic how this stuff restores life into the plastics. I applied this approx 2 months ago and the plastics are still a black that you would expect when the car is new.

I've even bought some more to do the Mrs car (she actually wanted to buy some!).

The true time will tell in a couple of years more if this stuff actually works. I'd be happy if I got a year and a half out of it.

Its worth the buy, but make sure you prep the car first, and that you can justify paying the high price for such a small bottle. A little goes a long way however, (I did my entire car plastics (Astra H Sport) and the rear bumper of my Mrs Fiesta)

Who would think that some clear fluid will make my BMW mirrors black again and they were almost blue. Don't even bother with cheep stuff that will wash away after a week and won't make your trims black anyways. One little bottle will last ages, used couple of drops with greate results!

I have used this product on a few cars and the results have always been first class. A very small bottle, but a little does go a long way and I have no hesitation in recommending it for bringing exterior trim up to new, with better than new durability. Given the finish and durability, despite the initial cost it does work out very economical.
