I mislaid my slowly discoloured quite expensive plastic Apple Type-C to USB adapter so bought this to replace it and I am pleasantly surprised. These adapters are what can only be described as heavy duty, like you could jump start your car using them. They are machined to a high standard and look like they are built to last but who knows. To be honest to get 2 cable adapters of better quality for less than half the price of the official manufacturers' means even if they stop working I'd probably still buy again at that price. One is longer than the other which I found a bit odd but doesn't seem to make any difference other than tidiness. If you have a space grey MacBook they are quite close in colour and a pleasing match up. Only problem may be losing one when my wife loses her Apple one.

This is a handy little item. My PC has a USB-C socket on the front, of which I have never made use, so I decided to buy an adaptor to go with my latest USB hub purchase, to enable me to conect it via said socket. It works perfectly. I don't know how true this is, but I did read somewhere that USB-C ports can't provide as much power as the larger USB-A ones, but using a 4-port hub with a keyboard, multi-card reader, 32GB USB stick and 2.1 speaker system running off it, this adaptor is quite content to supply enough power to them all. It feels well-made and durable, the braided cable seems tough enough to last but remains sufficiently flexible for ease of use, both ends fit nice and snugly to their respective connections, and on top of all that it comes with another one just like it but slightly longer, which will be useful if I ever wish to connect something like a hard drive to my tablet. Overall, great value for two high quality leads.

The adapter is backwards compatible, and of course it supports for USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 standard devices. If you have a USB 2.0 mouse just like me, you would also use this to connect it or any other USB peripheral to a Type C phone and computer.

It works great to connect my phone with other type-A enabled devices and peripherals (flash drives, keyboards, mice). The plug fits snuggly into my phone charger port.
