About the Author
Theodor Seuss Geisel – better known to millions of his fans as Dr. Seuss – was born the son of a park superintendent in Springfield, Massachusetts, in 1904. After studying at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, and later at Oxford University in England, he became a magazine humorist and cartoonist, and an advertising man. He soon turned his many talents to writing children’s books, and his first book – And To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street – was published in 1937. His greatest claim to fame was the one and only The Cat in the Hat, published in 1957, the first of a hugely successful range of early learning books.

Whether your child is 6, 16, 26 ..... It says almost everything you would wish to say about their journey through life.
I first came across this at a conference for entrepreneurs, being read from the stage by one of the speakers. It was both inspiring and motivating, but as I listened, I know it was something I wanted to pass on to my family.
I bought the hardback version which tells you something of the degree to which I believe this is an absolute classic.
My 3 year old really enjoyed the illustrations and could clearly understand what the story itself was about. Equally I could see how this would be an ideal read for an older child who is perhaps going through SATs at school etc teaching that just because we may not do as well as hoped we can still go on to achieve. I think this is a read that we will visit again and again over the years. Just brilliant!
It is absolutely beautiful and the words fit perfectly for the occasion. The book itself is presented with a hard illustrated case and the book, well, truly magnificent. It should be with her, to read occasionally, for a very long time!
