5.0 out of 5 stars A good ending 9 Oct. 2016
By Cynthia A. Leonard - Published on Amazon.com

It is always hard and sad to let go of a good book and a quick ending is sometimes too fast. This book had an ending or endings that reminds me of the endings of The Lord of the Rings trilogy. In other words, there are enough endings in this book to tie up all the loose ends and I really enjoyed that. I am very happy to have read this series; it was satisfying on many levels. It is still sad to say goodbye, but it feels right, just like the endings of this story felt right.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sad to see it end 26 July 2014

I've grown extremely attached to these characters over the volumes of this series. I'm very sad to see it end. Without giving away any spoilers, I was slightly disappointed with the ending/way things wrapped up. Still a solid story, great writing style, and wonderful fairy tales. I wish certain things had worked out differently, BUT, as with all stories, the ending is the hardest part and the authors did a good job wrapping things up (even if they didn't read my mind and follow the story path I wanted). :) Recommend to all who have made it this far in the series.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic series 28 Feb. 2015

Wow. I hated to see this end but the authors did a FANTASTIC job with this series of books. I really enjoyed the struggles that Alice went through trying to be true to herself and hold her head up despite everything she went through. I really really really liked how the authors told us that she didn't have a "happily ever after" like you are told in fairy tales, but that what she did have was perfect for her and much more attainable for us real people. Great story, and I'm so glad I tagged along for the ride.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hours of entertainment 17 Aug. 2014

I'm just going to give my opinion on the final chronicle as saying exactly the same for all of them would be tedious

I don't think I'm quite the target audience the authors had in mind while writing but I enjoyed the books immensely. Wonderfully imaginative with well fleshed characters, the writing came to life and gave me hours of entertainment.

Whether you've read the Grimm fairy tales or not, you'll enjoy these books.
5.0 out of 5 stars Another fantastic Volume 12 Feb. 2014
By Carrie Rogo - Published on Amazon.com

I've been reading The Grimm Chronicles as they have been released and I love the stories and the way the fairy tales have been twisted. Each story gets better, the writing itself gets better and I love Alice more and more. A fantastic final chapter.

My only critique is how easy it is to thwart Agnim. Considering his power and the horrific fear he instilled in EVERYONE, he was beaten very easily. It lasted maybe a page and considering the build up I think it was a cop out.

Still, if you love Grimm's fairy tales and like it when they are re imagined, give this series a whirl.
