How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Its pricey! that why its not a 5* but its a piece of pish to get the hang off and light, so if like a few swallies and a smoke this is the one for you. Its the only time i have ever got a BBQ with a DVD. Advice watch before you do ANYTHING!

This is a great little BBQ for travelling and taking down the beach. You must ensure that your charcoal is totaly dry though or it is a pain to light. Will easily cook for 6 people, perfect for Bratties and burgers but will also cook most things. Be aware that once back in the snuff out pouch it is still burning and creating carbon monoxide so if using at the beach make sure you keep your windows open on the way home and keep outside overnight if using at home. Still experimenting with what is the best fuel to use lumpwood or briquette for length of burn etc but to be honest you are only ever really cooking for about 20 minutes as it is that hot! The underneath does get very hot so if using on a table or deck be sure to put something underneath like a paving slab or tiles etc or use the snuff out pouch. It is also easy to loose the odd sausage off the side as well when flipping them over! (3 second rule!) All in all a great little product but if you are on a budget get a cheap bucket BBQ to take to the beach and use sea water to cool it down to take home but dispose of the coals sensibly!

This is great. Best BBQ that i have ever used. Lay it in advance, take it to picnic, light it, give it 10 mins, cook, give it 20 mins, put back in bag.
....and it is really hard to burn food on it as well, due to the fact the coals smoulder once the grill is open.
Comes with a cheesy dvd as well

This grill is great, it lights so quickly you can be bbqing in no time! The grills are totally adjustable and we managed to cook for 10 people at the beach then when it was time to go home we just closed it up and put it straight in the supplied heat proof bag while it was still hot, zipped it up and into the boot of the car.
I would recomend this highly for camping, picnic but also a great bbq to use at home as it lights so quickly.

I was looking for a portable BBQ that i could take on our camping trips and came across this, all singing all dancing, Grilletto from SON OF HIBACHI. The dude that designed this had put a lot of time and thought into every detail of making the perfect portable BBQ. But he must have been on a 2 day drinking bender when he missed the most important detail of all. How to keep the bloody coals hot when you have them lit! The first time it was used it was a dream to light, but as soon as you opened it up for cooking the coals just started to cool. They were still lit but not very hot. And the simple explanation for this is there is not enough oxygen getting to the coals when they are lying in the bottom of the trays, so you have no way of controlling the temperature of the coals. I could have cooked the steaks quicker over a candle. Or better still, watched the first season of lost to build up the hunger.. I tried it again using different coals and the same thing happened, easy to light but cools down quickly when opened. To say I was very disappointed would be an understatement. I had been blowing about the Grilletto from the minute i placed the order to everyone i knew. So i felt a bit of a PLICK when i had to tell them all that the Son of Hibachi was actually a complete Son of a Bitch!
I had to take matters into my own hands and try and resolve this (issue). So i took it into a near by field along with my trusty shot gun and riddled it with holes.
Mad Man i hear you say!
No. Genius.
It worked a treat!!! The steaks are cooking great.
The sad thing about the hole incident is that that every other aspect of the Grilletto is Brilliant.
