I quite like both Peter Green & Stevie Nicks incarnations of Fleetwood Mac. I surely can't be the only one?

I`m not old enough to remember the Peter Green Fleetwood Mac, it`s probably bad of me to say that when I think of Fleetwood Mac I think of the Stevie Nicks Fleetwood Mac.

Perhaps women prefer the Nicks version of Fleetwood Mac because a lot of their songs deal with relationships & the breaking up off of them. Where as men pehas prefer Peter Green's version of the band because of the musicianship.
Or am I just generalising the sexes?

You could be right there :) . Although I personally like the different vocals of Nicks,Buckingham and McVie. Although i`m a big fan of Lindsey Buckingham too. Was gutted when I saw then in concert in 1988 and Buckingham didn`t go on that tour. :( Would have loved to have seen them on the Rumours tour, but I was only a baby then!!

Peter Green is supposed to have played guitar on some of the sessions for "Tusk", although Buckingham doesn't recall seeing Green in the studio, but that may be down to Buckingham's own metal state at the time! (Never let the facts spoil a good story).

Don't know that Peter Green played on the Tusk sessions (though he did play on the Penguin album ).
JimJac- Can I just state for the record that I love the Peter Green early Mac (especially Then Play On).. and yes I love the musicianship, he has always been one of my favourite guitarists. But... I am a woman and also love the later Mac (yes I love Stevie Nicks but also think that Mr Buckingham is a very under-rated guitarist). Generalise if you will?

I think it's certainly time that a expanded/digitally remasted version of "Then play on" is release.
