Along with more conventional recipes, this book contains instructions for curing fish and meat (smoked salmon, ham and bacon) and making sausages, vinegar and various dairy products (butter, yoghurt etc). Not the everyday cook book fare. So, if you are fed up with supermarket food and can't get to a decent farmer's market this is the book for you.

Slightly disappointing, expected more recipes for chutneys etc. Not really the type of book I was expecting unfortunately. Probably thought it would have been similar to the ld Readers Digest book I used to have.
