About the Author
David Craig spent most of his career working for some of the world s best and worst management consultancies. After writing two whistleblowing books, Rip-Off and Plundering the Public Sector, about how consultants take millions from businesses and government departments while delivering little of value, he was blacklisted and so left the profession. Since then, he has written several books about government corruption, incompetence and waste, including Squandered: How Gordon Brown is wasting over one trillion pounds of our money and Fleeced: How we ve been betrayed by politicians, bureaucrats and bankers, both of which won the Hammond Whiteley journalism award. He is also the author of The Great European Rip-Off and Pillaged! How they re looting £413 million a day from your savings and pensions.

It will leave you feeling outraged and helpless that incompetence, greed, nepotism and selfishness has reduced UK to a shadow of what it should be on the World stage.
Our futures have been blighted by the Unlimited Greed of those whom we thought we could trust as honourable, upstanding men.
Highly recommended by for any Briton who cares about UK and the future of their families well-being. Every voter needs to read this book this year.
Even for those who have read his previous books, there are good things about this book. There are updated statistics and examples demonstrating where the coalition is failing to live up to its promises to reign in the excesses of Labour waste.
Much of the book summarises his other books but often over simplifies. The tone is sensationalist, sarcastic and often fails in attempting to be witty, all contribute unnecessary verbosity. Most annoying is its vagueness about details. An example is on page 275 where half the page describes "one of the most histrionically vociferous members of the Public Accounts Committee" and this individual's arrogance and incompetence... but this individual is never identified. Why not? If Mr. Craig is factually correct and avoids exaggeration then he has no reason to fear libel. Throughout the book, these kind of unnecessary omissions are frustrating and sometimes, detract from its credibility. In other places, identities of people can be inferred by checking the (sparse) references but omissions remain annoying.
So overall, the book is disappointing. Far from his strongest book but nevertheless, interesting in some parts for the updated material.
It is hard to believe the bare faced swindling of the public purse that is going on under our noses and against which, we are effectively powerless to stop.
Blair, Brown, Cameron and Clegg, and even Millipede himself , are all members of a special untouchable club that lie, rob and steal the publics money at every turn, and contribute to an ever accelerating destruction of everything anyone who loves this country holds dear.
David Craig has produced a great work which tears the lid of secrecy off the disgusting can of worms that is the British establishment. There will be no OBE for him in the next honours list of that I am sure.
Buy this book and read this book. Give it to your friends, especially the ones who sleepwalk through their lives watching X-Factor and I'm a Celebrity - teach me English.
If nothing else, this book will confirm what any intelligent voter already suspects, that It's time to emigrate somewhere where the stench of corruption is yet to become over whelming. For those who stay, a great battle looms before us else our children grow up no better than serfs. They lie, they steal and they squat on our lives like a cold wet toad. David Craig explains how they do it and how they get away with it.
