Long before The Producers became a hugely successful stage musical, I remember owning this on vinyl, one of the few items of Mel Brooks memorabilia available at the time. It features the songs and music of his films pre-History of the World Part One, his golden years in the seventies. Remember 'I'm Tired', the Dietrich-like saloon bar classic from Blazing Saddles? Or Puttin' on the Ritz from Young Frankenstein? Or High Anxiety, with Mel transformed into something not far off Frank Sinatra? Well, it's all there - and Springtime for Hitler too, of course. If you loved the films, I can't recommend it highly enough.
