If you like Classical music there is loads to like here. I bought these for my 'gift' box as I couldn't believe the price. What came is a very expensive looking pack of CD's. Didn't have to wait any time and they were here. Go for them if you are swithering.

By M. Joyce TOP 1000 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on 12 Mar. 2016
I was given this three-CD set as a present from a grateful former student and I have to say that, although I am generally a bit sniffy in a snobbish kind of way about compilations of this kind, this is a most enjoyable collection and the performances are uniformly excellent; the presence of such artists and ensembles as Janos Starker, Andrew Manze and I Solisti Italiani is in itself recommendation enough.

It is true that most of what features here could be described as “easy listening”, but alongside the traditional favourites (there is a heavy reliance on Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons”), there are some unexpected treats: Geminiani’s Concerto Grosso, a Dvořàk String Quartet, Albinoni’s Oboe Concerto and The Swan of Tuonela by Sibelius, to name but four.

This would make an excellent present for someone getting into classical music and, what is more, it can be purchased at a bargain price.

I have to admit I was disappointed when I first listened to this album as I would say 90% of it is simply too slow and gentle over three whole discs, half of which I've never even heard of and I know my music, people tell me. It does contain some upbeat tunes such as the allegro movements from "Spring" and "Autumn" from Vivaldi's "Four Seasons", Mozart's jolly "Piano Sonata No' 16", Handel's "Arrival of the Queen of Sheba" and we can even stretch the the mighty "Sorcerer's Apprentice"! But we really could do with more to, quite frankly, keep us from falling asleep. This should really be called Classical Chillout.
