Major General Patrick Man, CB, CBE, DSO, mc had a distinguished military career including command of First Batallion Royal Hampshires Regiment, GOC Aldershot District and Director of Personnel Services MOD. Widely read, his interests included scholarship and service to his local community, Campsea Ashe and Wickham Market (Suffolk) where he died on 10 October 1979, loved and respected by all who had known him.
