The main training sections take a logical path through puppy and dog training. Useful as a guide for a new dog owner but also as a reference for more experienced owners that need help with particular aspects of training.
Well written and an entertaining read (It is written from the dogs perspective). Recommended if you are even considering dog ownership

The selection of an appropriate breed can make or break the relationship, and this book will give you some great tips on how much activity the different breeds need, their affection or working tendencies and sizes which will be very useful if you don't already know what kind of dog you want.
Also includes some excellent information on training puppies to get rid of bad habits including common problems such as peeing, barking, biting, and jumping. If you want to have a great relationship with your new dog, this book will get you started.
In a different (and entertaining!) way, their story is recounted through the eyes of their own dog as they share what has worked, what hasn't, and what you may have to be aware of as you apply these techniques...as each dog has their own personality and needs.
I particularly like the list of breeds and their temprements etc. As a dog lover with my own training experiences and the joyful benefits that come with having a dog in your life I recommend this book if you are about to bring one of these wonderful creatures into your own family.
